THE 2020 DIFFERENCE
This event will be thoroughly covid-responsible
To ensure social distancing, this is a private event and there will be no spectators (but you can still tell Mom to tune in on FB live!)
We’re giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “Mash Plastic!” There’s no defense, only offense so keep your bat close and a bottle of biofreeze handy.
HOME RUN DERBY
Each batter picks a teammate to pitch & gets 30 seconds to hit as many home runs over the fence as possible
Every batter gets two rounds and posts their highest score
Team and individual winners awarded at poolside reception. Winner scores are also posted on the tournament “Leaderboard.”
Life-size celebrity cutouts are placed on the field at each position as defenders
Each batter will get two chances per at-bat to put the ball in play from pitches by their teammate to put the ball in play. You keep hitting until you use up both chances.
If the ball hits a cutout, it’s an out. Each team gets 3 outs per inning
If the ball hits the areas marked “Single”, it’s a single. The same for “Double”, “Triple”, etc.
There are certain signs and areas in the field that represent bonus runs.
The team with the most cumulative runs after a 40-minute game wins and is posted onto the tournament “Leaderboard”.
